Urbanica Wins Parcel 8 Proposal

Urbanica’s innovative project design has been selected for Parcel 8, ushering in a transformative era for the Roxbury community. The project, now officially named NUBA, stands out not only for its commitment to providing 100% affordable housing but also for its thoughtful integration of artistic spaces that promise to invigorate both the local and creative communities of Boston.

NUBA’s housing component comprises 45 condo units, 64 rental units, 5 live-work artist units, and 5 commercial art spaces, all contributing to a diverse and inclusive living environment. This blend of housing options ensures that individuals from various socio-economic backgrounds can call NUBA home, fostering a sense of unity and diversity within the Roxbury community.

One of the standout features of NUBA is the inclusion of cafe and gallery spaces. These spaces are designed not only to serve as cultural hubs but also as catalysts for community engagement.
